So Much Learning in Room 5

After some technical difficulties we are back on board.
We have been very busy since our last post.
Thank you to the parents who came to our 'Shine Time' last Friday. The children were so excited to show the work they have been doing on Chatterpics.

Our fortnightly Friday session with Nate, our Kiwisport co-ordinator, have been a lot of fun. We are learning to direct a ball or bean bag to a target.

We had to quickly throw and catch a bag 6 times.

On Monday we walked down to Te Pa to see the Duffy Theatre presentation of 'The Cloakroom Bully'. It was very funny but had a good message about bullying and bullies. Thank you Te Pa for allowing us to use your hall.

Ashleigh and Duffy are friends. Duffy doesn't know that Ashleigh bullies Melissa.

Melissa can't sleep at night because she's so worried about Ashleigh.

The teacher gets cross with Melissa when she is so tired at school because she can't sleep at night.

Melissa finally tells Duffy about her problems. Duffy helps Melissa to sleep by lending her a book to read at night. Melissa has a good night's sleep and is ready for school the next day - she doesn't let her bully her any more.
Ashleigh gets a shock! She thought she was just being funny and not being a bully.

On Wednesday we walked back to Te Pa to see a very funny production called "Little Red Riding Robyn Hood" It was a mixture of two stories.

The King wanted to put up the taxes 101%. He made the town crier announce his plans. Red Robyn Hood stopped him. It was very funny.
